Madison Area Technical College- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Divine Savior Wellness Center
2815 New Pinery Rd, Portage

“The most rewarding aspect of my career is that I’m always learning new ways to help people regain their health and independence.”
-Nicole Sletten, COTA

Nicole Sletten, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, was encouraged by many people, including her doctor and family, to enter the medical field. She took that advice to heart, but the specialty she chose was, according to her, fate.

“They encouraged more alternative medicine like acupuncture and nutrition,” Nicole tells us.

Nicole became a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant through the Madison Area Technical College (MATC). As a COTA, Nicole has been fortunate to work in all areas of rehab, including outpatient, inpatient, home care and at Tivoli.

Nicole confesses that “as a perfectionist,” going above and beyond comes naturally to her.

The variety that is offered locally is one thing Nicole is especially proud of Divine Savior Healthcare for.

“We have a variety of services to meet a large variety of needs,” Nicole says. “We have quality care rehab and great orthopedic doctors to go along with it.”

When Nicole is not assisting in the rehab department, she enjoys spending time outdoors.

“I like the lakes and outdoor places to go swimming, canoeing and hiking,” she tells us.
